Special paintings

BASOR ELECTRIC works to always offer the best finish and to provide the client with an added protection and durability of its products.

Types of coating

Steel painted (GSE)

Steel coated with a hybrid epoxy-polyester resin. The steel is covered with powder resin and then a polymerization is done at a temperature between 185-190ºC for 15 minutes. The obtained micron is between 60 and 80 microns, and is characterized by excellent adherence. This coating is applied on sendzimir galvanized steel or on steel base. In the latter case, before the electrostatic application of the resin, the parts are degreased and amorphous phosphating by treatment tunnel spraying, which improves the protection against corrosion of the material base.

Painted steel is used in humid, mild chemical, and urban environments, as long as the decorative aspect is important.

Steel painted with polyester (GSP)

Steel coated with a polyester resin. The steel is covered with polyester powder resin and then polymerization is carried out at a temperature between 190-195 ºC for 15 minutes. The obtained micron is between 60 and 80 microns, obtaining excellent adherence. This coating is applied on sendzimir galvanized steel or on base steel. In the latter case, before the electrostatic application of the resin, the parts are degreased and amorphous phosphating by treatment tunnel spraying, which improves the protection against corrosion of the material base.

The Steel Painted with Polyester Resin is resistant to ultraviolet rays, it is used in humid atmospheres, both indoors and outdoors, aggressive chemical environments and saline environments. The BASOR GSP system, with its coating, far exceeds class 8 of the UNE-EN IEC 61537 standard.

Duplex steel (GCP)

Hot-dip galvanized steel according to UNE-EN ISO 1461 Standard with a subsequent polyester resin coating. This layer with its mechanical resistance and good chemical resistance improves the corrosion resistance of the initial hot-dip galvanizing layer. The total thickness of the two layers of this protection system has an approximate value of 160μm. A HDG coating of 85μm is considered class 8 according to the UNE-EN IEC 61537 standard and exceeds 850 hours in the neutral salt spray test (ISO 9227).

BASOR's GCP system with its double coating considerably improves class 8. Furthermore, this finish is suitable for aggressive C4, C5-I and C5-M atmospheres (UNE-EN ISO 12.944-5 standard).

Hot dip galvanizing

Hot dip galvanizing

The hot dip galvanizing tailorsuite service measure is thought for those clients who want to increase the useful life of the installation above the minimum and average values set by the UNE-EN ISO 1461 standard.

The galvanizing process is a procedure to coat iron or steel by immersing it in a bath of molten zinc, and its main objective is to avoid the oxidation and corrosion that humidity and environmental contamination can cause on this iron.
